If you drive down Highway 1 towards Half Moon Bay, you’ll see a huge Victorian-style hotel and restaurant situated on the hill to your left. Before you go any further, STOP! You must go into the restaurant and grab a bite to eat or least sit at the bar and have a pisco sour.
With picturesque views of the Pacific ocean, Puerto 27 Peruvian Kitchen & Pisco Bar is the perfect place to grab a glass of sangria and share appetizers with your girlfriends, take in the view over dinner, or celebrate the end of a long work week.
Puerto 27 is in a prime location. It’s directly across the street from Linda Mar Beach where locals head to cool off when it’s hot out and catch some waves when the surf is good. There’s seating both inside and out, but since you’re right next to the ocean, I highly recommend you bring a jacket if you want to sit on the patio. The bar area is a great choice to watch a game on one of the flat screens.
Most of the dishes are for sharing, which works out great if you’re dining with friends or family. If we ever go out to eat, don’t ask to split the tequeños appetizer with me — I’ll insist I have my own.
