There’s a new store in Pacifica, Plato’s Closet, where you can buy and sell your gently used clothing and accessories. Nearly every time I shop there, I end up leaving with an outfit or two for under $50. It’s awesome!
I found this skirt one day while browsing the shop along with a brand new Bebe dress that I scored for more than half off. Recently, I pulled out old clothes and accessories that I hadn’t worn in a long time and sold them to Plato’s. I made $120 that day and cleared some space in my closet for new purchases. After reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, purging seems to be a weekly affair.
The jewelry featured in this shoot are a mix of yellow and rose gold pieces. One of my favorite jewelry designers, Kristine Lily, has a gorgeous collection of drutzy stone pieces that I am slowly starting to collect. The earrings were a find on one of the last days of our honeymoon. Matt and I were walking The Rocks and Circular Quay in Sydney and were ready to head back to our Airbnb in Redfern after a long day of walking. The Studio Ante booth caught my eye with all the pretty pieces of Swarovski crystal jewelry. It took me a while to decide which earrings I wanted bring back to the states with me, but opted for the blue and gold and a similar white and gold pair. My work holiday party was coming up soon so I bought a third pair and used it as a White Elephant gift. Hope you love ’em Ngan!
