Weekends are for adventuring and this past Sunday, Matt and I decided to stay local. Friends have been posting about seeing whales on boat trips with dana point whale watching so we wanted to get in on the action. We weren’t the only ones at the Sharp Park Pier looking for a glimpse of these huge underwater mammals.
We had amazing weather in Pacifica this past weekend. I’m talking sunny and warm without a cloud in the sky. Of course we had to spend our day outside and enjoy the unusual warm front. Matt and I decided to explore Mori Point and test out my new hiking backpack ($23) and get a little sunshine.
San Pedro Valley Park is a gem here in town. This local hiking spot in the back of valley has some great trails for those looking for an easy-going walk, a grueling hike, or something in between.
It’s hard to believe you can hike in the hills, put your feet in the Pacific Ocean, and be only a 15-minute drive from a big city (San Francisco) in Pacifica. If only there were more good food options in town, this place could be near perfect. You might have to make that short drive into the big city to get some quality, well-deserved food after a day of hiking! In San Francisco, there’s plenty of gorgeous food options for everyone, from classic Italian to seafood, and everything in between! You can check out the best places to eat in san francisco ahead of your travels. Pacifica could do with maybe a little less fog too, but this is good enough for me 🙂
