I am so excited to share this upcoming reception at my favorite wine bar, A Grape in the Fog, with my favorite photographer, Bradley Wittke. Brad and I have collaborated on many of fashion posts this year as featured on Beach Town Blonde (just a few examples Boho in the Quarry,Birthday Girl, Jetsetter). His coastal photography is incredible and his metal prints are a must-have for any beachside dweller or photography lover. Photography has obviously changed over the decades, luckily more and more people can get into it, and read more on how they too can contribute to the creativity behind the camera. Stop by A Grape in the Fog October 8th from 7-9pm to meet the photographer in-person, have a glass of wine, and pick up one of these gorgeous prints! Live music by music of Benny Torres (RSVP on Facebook).
Happy Labor Day! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend enjoying the last days of summer. I decided to chill this weekend and hang around town, watch movies, and eat Hot Cheetos and cream cheese (it’s THE BEST and if you haven’t tried it, do so now!). My husband and I watched Mad Max: Fury Road, The Duff, Aloha and American Sniper over the last few days and cuddled on the couch with our new Minky Couture blankets. I saw Cara Loren sporting one on her blog and had to get one. After we bought one though, Matt and I decided we needed two so each of us could have our own. These are seriously the softest blankets ever and I just saw they’re having a 40% off sale now through Tuesday, September 8 (use code: wow40).
On laid back weekends like this one, a maxi is my go-to if I want to look like I put in some effort — if I don’t, it’s yoga pants for me! 😉 This maxi was under $15 from Forever 21 and I paired it with a floppy hat and black sandals, also from F21. The purse is from DSW last year and is my go-to bag when I don’t need to carry much besides my phone, wallet and lipstick.
The whole reason we decided keep it low key this weekend… because we’re going to Las Vegas on Friday! I cannot wait to hit The Strip and do some gambling, poolside lounging and maybe see a live show. Matt and I are going with his coworker and his girlfriend so it should be a lot of fun, especially since it’s her first time in Sin City! Matt and I try to go a couple times a year and this will be our third or forth time in 2015. Since his brother lives out there, we get to see him each time we’re in town, which is always nice.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day. Have a great week!
