Fall Hair Products for Fine Hair

fall hair products for fine hair

When fall rolls around, it’s usually time to treat my hair to a little TLC. Throughout the summer my hair has been in the sun a lot and is often neglected. It’s time to deep condition, but not lose any volume in the process. I can find it so hard to find myself some proper quality salon hair products that suit me to a T, but I’m always doing my best to try out new things for me and my hair.

I’ve read about the #nopoo movement and while I’m not ready (or interested) in going that far, I have been trying to not wash my hair every day. It’s hard though because my hair gets pretty oily mid-day. Dry shampoo is what allows me to leave the house on non-wash days because I’m not a complete greaseball.

My girlfriend told me about Dove’s Hair Therapy Refresh + Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo, which is a really good deal at less than $5 for 5 ounces. It adds volume while getting rid of the oil. Dove’s Dry Shampoo has a refreshing scent and did I mention it’s less than $5?! I’ve purchased salon dry shampoos for $20+ and Dove makes one of the best out there. The dry shampoo leaves white residue if you spray too close to your head, but by working it in, it disappears. Another dry shampoo I really like is Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo that my hairstylist introduced me to. Kenra also make a fabulous Blow-Dry Spray that smells a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

On days that I shampoo (every other day), I like to use Living Proof Full Shampoo and Conditioner to give my limp strands some fullness.

I spray It’s a 10 Leave-In Conditioner with keratin when I get out of the shower before brushing my hair (by the way, the Wet Brush is awesome). It smells so good and gives my hair the extra conditioning it needs.

Paul Mitchell makes a great hair serum that smells fantastic! When applied to wet hair, my hair dried a lot faster so I don’t need to blow dry it as long. I try to only blow dry when absolutely necessary, like I’m in a rush to get to a meeting, or I’m going out on the town. Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell is lightweight and lasts forever. I’ve had this bottle for probably almost two years. You only need a dime-sized amount.

What products are you using to get you through the transition between summer and winter?

Robin’s Favorite Beauty Products

If you’re like me, you have way too many half-used products on your vanity, spewed across the bathroom counter, and probably filling the cabinets to the brim. While some of the products I can (and should!) part with, there are others I just can’t do without.
